the november edit.

Hi lovelies!

I’m back with my monthly November edit and have quite a few new favourite products and fashion styles to share with you! Halloween just passed and this has been my first Halloween at home since moving back from school! It’s definitely a lot different not being with my roommates on this day (less partying, more eating) but I’ve gotta admit that it’s been such a nice change of pace taking part in Halloween pot lucks, costume competitions at work and watching my nephew trick-or-treating for the first time! I hope your Halloween was just as great! Stay tuned for all my favourite products for the month of October and leading into November:

1. Long Floral Dresses

I’m such a huge fan of dresses in the summer! They are probably the easiest piece in the world to style because they’re simply ONE PIECE — no matching involved! Although I love layering in the fall, being able to quickly throw on a dress and rush out the door is probably one of the biggest things I miss as the weather changes! LUCKILY, long sleeve midi dresses are huge this year and I couldn’t be happier! I picked up a long sleeve dark floral dress that features bell sleeves and an asymmetrical hemline and will be styling it in the near future. I love cinching a black belt at the waist and pairing it with sock booties or slouchy knee high boots for an ultra chic yet seriously effortless fall look. 2. Matrix Biolage RAW Texturizing Spray

This month I was lucky enough to partner with Matrix Biologe to test out some of their new hair styling products from the RAW collection. I was gifted the texturizing spray and styling milk for review purposes. I’m still testing the styling milk so I’ll be back with an update on that in a few weeks, but I can confidently say that I LOVE the texturizing spray! I’ve used a texturizing spray in my hair every time I wash it for years. It’s one of my secrets for “beachy texture” and does wonders in helping my waves stay in place for days. I’ve never been a fan of “clean” hair that doesn’t hold a curl so I find that adding a texturizing spray gives your hair a bit of texture and grit. It’s safe to say over the years I’ve tried quite a few texturizing sprays but this Biologe one has to be my favourite! Sometimes texturizing sprays can make my hair feel sticky and heavy, but this one feels completely weightless in the hair. The ingredients are of 98% natural origin and it contains no artificial colorants, fragrances, parabens or silicones. Check it out and shop here!

3. L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara

I’ve been an avid fan of the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara for months now and have refused to shake it up and try something new! Even when I did, I always gravitated back to my trusty Lash Sensational.. until now! I heard raving reviews about the L’oreal Lash Paradise mascara and many of which compared it to Benefit’s Better Than Sex which is one of my all-time fave high end mascaras. Let me tell you, it definitely lives up to the reviews! The product gives my lashes tons of length and volume and the brush is super soft and perfectly shaped to reach every lash. The biggest thing I noticed with this mascara is that it holds a curl better than any I’ve tried! Typically by the end of the day my lashes will be almost completely straight, but not with L’oreal Lash Paradise! Highly recommend if you’re in the market for a new mascara! Check it out and shop here.

4. Felt Beret

OKAY so I know this might seem like the cheesiest hat you could possibly wear but hear me out!! I’ve seen berets everywhere this season and just like the baker boy hat trend I was hesitant, but the more I see it styled the more I’ve grown to like it! I’m obsessed with all things Parisian fashion so I’d be a total hypocrite to completely rule out a classic beret. It’s a style that’s been around for ages and really does look cute and timeless when styled with a chic coat or cozy sweater. Shop a few of my picks here:

5. Velvet Textures

Velvet has always been one of my go-to textures for Autumn/Winter, but especially this year! I love the look of a killer velvet wrap dress but what I’ve been loving even more is the look of a velvet blazer or jacket! It’s such a unique and unexpected way to wear velvet and looks super street style chic and fashion-forward. I own a bell-sleeve velvet jacket and LOVE how bold this piece is despite being a subtle navy blue colour. It’s a great statement piece to own and one of this year’s most prominent trends of the season. Shop some of my picks below:

6. Kitten Heel Booties

Kitten heels definitely come in and out of style in phases, but lucky for us girls looking for a practical every day heel, this season they are all the rage! In September and October I was a huge fan of the leather slingback-style kitten heel but now that the weather is getting colder I’ve been opting for a bootie style kitten heel. My personal favourite is the white kitten heel after seeing Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner rock it on a regular basis. There’s something super crisp and effortlessly cool about a white shoe that can TOTALLY be worn going into the fall despite the “rules” about labour day! Shop some of my faves below:

Happy November loves!
