the march edit.

How is it already March?! I knew fourth year would fly by but now that there is less than 2 months left I realize that’s true on a whole other level. It’s a strange time of year because simultaneously as university is winding down, my life after graduation is starting to fall into place. I’m both at the beginning and end of a chapter of my life, straddling the border between a before and after. I’m having this mental collision of premature heartbreak to leave these carefree university days, yet I’m also longing for a fresh change of pace and ready for something new. The air may be cold, but the sun is shining. Good things are coming.

With all that being said, this February has been unconventionally warm here in Southern Ontario, so many of my favourites are Spring related. (which is totally fine by me, no more snow PLEASE) Here is a compilation of my favourite products I’ve enjoyed in February and will continue to love transitioning into Spring and the month of March. Enjoy!

Open Toe Mules: Ok- I am loving this trend! The mid height heel is perfect for everyday comfort and as unseasonably early as it may be to bring out open toe shoes, I did so shamelessly this past weekend! I find this shoe adds such a contemporary vibe with the classic block heel and is great for an office or weekend errands. Shop here.

It Cosmetics CC+ Cream: I’ve heard endless raving reviews about this product on YouTube and from beauty bloggers but was super hesitant to order because of the high shipping rates to Canada. I finally caved and I am so glad I did! This CC cream provides amazing medium, blendable coverage and creates a natural glow on the skin- perfect for an everyday makeup routine! I ordered this in the colour “Tan.” Shop here.

Milk and Honey Book: I am actually quite ashamed as an English major that this month was my first time reading this book! This book of poetry is SO beautifully crafted and I love how the poems are organized in four parts- the hurting, the loving, the breaking, the healing. It’s one of those books to keep on your bedside table to pick up and peruse every so often- It can help you find peace in whatever stage of your life you’re in and leaves me speechless every time. I found this so incredibly inspiring and honest that I’m not even sure how to put it into words. If you haven’t browsed through this book, especially if you’re a woman, I highly highly recommend.

Western Belt: This belt has been my secret style hack this past month. This is the perfect lazy girl tool to looking put together- who would have thought?! Belts are amazing at making a statement because all you need is a basic tee and jeans to pair it with. Shop here.

Embroidered Bomber: The embroidery trend is one that I’ve recently been embracing and will be huge this Spring! At first it gave me uncomfortable nostalgic flashbacks of my childhood sparkly butterfly embroidered jeans, but there’s definitely a professional and sophisticated way to style this trend. I love a simplistic black bomber with minor embroidered details- it’s a girly way to glam up a basic piece. Shop here.

Matcha Tea: As an avid green tea fan, I’ve transitioned my love into Matcha this past month! Lattes, smoothies, or basic tea- this powder does it all and is a great alternative to heavy coffee for an afternoon pick me up! I’ve been loving using my David’s Tea Matcha Maker mixed with a few drops of honey for added sweetness and flavour.

Wide Leg Pants: As an extremely petite girl, finding wide leg pants that don’t drown my small frame is nearly impossible! I recently picked up a simple black pair from H&M and have been loving this statement piece paired with a simple plain white tee! The waist fits perfectly and the legs aren’t too wide that I look lost in fabric. This will definitely be a great piece to have in my closet to be styled casually with a denim jacket or professionally with a blazer and heels. Shop here.

Happy March lovelies! Enjoy the sunshine and let me know if you’ve tried any of these products or what products are on your wish list this Spring.
