For all my fellow procrastinators out there, I totally feel your pain if you’re not done your holiday shopping yet! Despite it being December 20 and there literally being 4 days left until Christmas, I will be the first to admit that I am not done my Christmas shopping and have been busy rushing around trying to pick up the last finishing touches on my gifts.
Luckily, after going through this last minute rush, I have a pretty good idea of a few gifts that are almost guaranteed be a hit, so viola: the last minute holiday gift guide for HER! Whether it be your mother, grandmother, sister, coworker, BFF, one of these gifts will most definitely be a success. I’ve included gifts for the music lover, makeup junkie or photography buff, and a lot of these items come at a variety of price points for whether you’re in search of a main gift or for an add-on to a gift you’ve already purchased! For all your rose gold aesthetic pleasure, follow along below for my top gift picks for this year’s holiday season:
1. Noise cancelling headphones
A pair of noise-cancelling headphones is always a great go-to gift! Whether your loved one is a gym-goer, a university student or even just works in an office, they’re sure to get good use out of a new pair of headphones, especially if they’re as pretty as these white and rose gold ones! Shop here.
2. Eye shadow palette
A new eyeshadow palette has always been one of my favourite Christmas gifts to receive! I never want to make the investment myself and there are always so many new palettes coming out that I can’t keep track. If you’re unsure of exactly what brand/colours your loved one uses, I’d say the safest bet is one of the Urban Decay naked palettes! All these shadows are neutral and a set you can’t really go wrong with. Shop some of my fave picks below:
3. Gold layering necklaces
A girl can seriously never have enough gold layering necklaces! This is my favourite accessory for dressing up a solid colour top and I love to mix and match different size pendants to make new looks. The good thing about necklaces is you can totally cater to your gift budget! Forever 21 has tons of layering necklaces for less than $10 or you can find more expensive ones at a higher quality as well. Shop some of my fave picks below:
4. Face masks
Face masks are every girl’s guilty pleasure and I myself am a serious sucker for a good mask! This is also a great add-on to a gift if you’re looking for something extra but aren’t sure what to buy. There are tons of sheet masks that are super cheap and allows them to experiment with something new, or if you’re looking for something a bit pricier try the Rose face mask from Fresh. This is one of my favourite hydrating masks and it smells lovely! Shop some of my fave picks below:
5. Marble phone case
It’s always nice to start the new year fresh and what better way to do that than with a new phone case! We literally look at our phones majority of the day so may as well make it as pretty as possible. My current favourite phone cases are anything gold, marble .. or both! 😉 Shop some of my fave picks below:
6. Coffee mug
This is seriously everyone’s go-to gift when they don’t know what to buy someone BUT hear me out!! I actually love getting new mugs and they honestly do come in handy for anyone who works at a desk or is in university. Indigo and The Bay have endless options and again, anything white, gold, or one with a quirky quote is a foolproof choice! Shop some of my fave picks below:
7. Plush robe
A new plush robe was at the top of my wish list this year, so I’m sure the ladies in your life would love this gift as well! I have a few robes but none that are super good quality so I figured this year I’d ask for one. Pyjamas and slippers are always a common gift around the holidays, so why not change it up this year and gift a robe to your loved ones! Shop some of my fave picks below:
8. Polaroid camera
I’ve always wanted a polaroid camera but again, it’s one of those items I’d never really buy for myself! If you have a photography or Instagram lover in your life, a new polaroid camera is a great gift idea. This gift is perfect to give around the holidays with all the Christmas parties, family get togethers and special moments that are needed to be documented! Shop here.
9. Makeup brush set
Annnnnd lastly, a makeup brush set! I received one of these last year and still use them everyday! Makeup brushes get worn out super quickly and it’s always nice to start the new year with a fresh set. The Sephora and Mac brush sets can get a little pricey but if that’s in your budget then by all means go for it! As an alternative, Costco’s Kirkland brand and Sigma brushes also have great sets around the holidays! Shop some of my fave picks below:
I really hope this guide helped all my fellow procrastinators out there! These are all items that I love to receive through the holidays so I’m sure they’ll be a hit with your loved ones as well. With that being said, I wish you all a truly Merry Christmas! Thank you for reading along on all my adventures this year — 2017 has honestly been the most transitional year of my life from graduating University, starting my career, and expanding my blog, but at the same time, this has been by far the most exciting year as well! I’m so happy to have you all along for the ride, I can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring. xo Olivia
