kickin’ it red.

Hi loves! I can’t wait to share the new blog content I’ve been working on this past month with you all! Tons of new fall fashion & beauty reviews will be coming your way and I’m so thrilled to create continuous content going forward.

In my August edit I mentioned my new love for red shoes, so I thought I’d share a post about one of my favourite ways to style them. I love to use red as a “pop of colour” and keep the other pieces neutral and basic. With this look in particular I paired one of my fave pairs of lightly checked grey trousers and tucked in a simple boxy t-shirt. These trousers are definitely one of my recent go-to’s and I love the silver detailing along the waistline and pockets to add something extra and edgy. They pair well with any colour and are a great piece to have if you work in a more formal workplace, but can also be dressed down like I did here!

Since the top and bottom of this outfit are so simple, these patent red booties really steal the show! This outfit totally reminds me of a millennial rendition of something the Spice Girls would have worn back in the ’90s. Red is seriously THE colour right now and although I haven’t always been a fan, I’ve slowly been gravitating towards all things red and definitely have compiled quite the collection now.

Are you on board with the red trend too? Let me know how you would style these booties in the comments below!
