the holiday gift guide.

Hi everyone! There are officially TEN days until Christmas, where has the time gone?! The holiday season is in full swing here in Canada and the weather has been the epitome of a winter wonderland; complete with knee-high banks of sparkling snow. As for me, I’ve been doing everything possible to avoid the cold (and studying for that matter….), meaning I’ve been spending a little too much time online shopping for the perfect gift for everyone on my list.

For all those like me, pulling together gifts, ESPECIALLY during exams, is such a stressful and daunting task. So, I decided to help all those still struggling in their gift-giving endeavours by compiling a holiday gift guide for HER; whether it be your BFF, your sister, your mom or grandma. These are the items every girl loves to receive and could always use more of! They’re the “little luxuries” in life that we don’t necessarily go out of our way to purchase for ourselves but are absolutely thrilled to receive as a gift. Invest in just one of these items or combine them to create the perfect gift for HER…. I promise, she won’t be disappointed!

Scarf: A knit scarf is an absolute essential for winter. Pick up one in a neutral colour such as taupe or grey with a simple fringed edging. Or for a more feminine touch, try a blush colour scarf like the one above! Shop here.

Wine Glasses: Because who doesn’t love wine?! These are great to purchase in sets and can even be personalized with a monogram for an added special touch. Shop here.

Notebook: This has always been one of my favourite gifts to receive and will not disappoint all the writers, note-takers, list-makers and university students in your life. Chapters and The Bay have a huge selection of notebooks that offer a cover design suited for everyone. Shop here.

Fuzzy Socks: Trust me, a girl can never have too many fuzzy socks! I always tend to get my socks mixed up or lose one half of the pair so fresh fuzzy socks are always a truly appreciated gift. It’s the simple things right?! Shop here.

Winter Candle: A candle is a foolproof gift for all the ladies in your life! It’s a gift they’ll definitely put to use and are offered in such a variety of scents suited to their preferences. My suggestion is to keep it simple and fresh: Try Winter or Vanilla Bean Noel from Bath & Body works. Shop here.

Special Interest Book: This is definitely a gift that can be catered to the personality of the recipient! Think about their interests- fashion, beauty, knitting? Whatever it may be, a special interest book catering to that passion is always a lovely and thoughtful gift. Shop an example, the “fashion in film” book here.

Blanket: Because this is definitely the season for a warm fluffy blanket and you can literally never have enough, especially living in Canada. Think about the decor of the recipient’s room/home or their favourite colour and pick a blanket suited to that theme! Shop here.

Nail Polish: This is a great stocking stuffer or an add-on to a larger gift! Try the Essie Gel Couture line (read my review here) and stick to neutrals and winter shades such as red, greys and taupes. Shop here.

Enjoy your holidays lovelies, the ladies in your lives are sure to appreciate these gifts!

Love your gift guide and I would be happy to get any or all of it 🙂 I’m in Canada as well and Winter has finally arrived where I live! I like the snow, but only if I can view from afar and not go out in it LOL

    • Haha totally agree Tai! The snow is beautiful from afar but going outside in it is a whole different story. Thanks so much for reading & subscribing! xo
