Hi everyone! I’m so sorry I haven’t kept up with my Sunday posting schedule. School has absolutely consumed me the last few weeks. Its unfortunately that time of the semester where all the final assignments and papers are piling up at the same time. Late night library sessions and early morning coffees have been occurring in excess to say the least.
I’ve become victim to an endless cycle of schoolwork that seems impossible to keep up with. I feel like no matter how many hours and research I put into my classes somehow I’m always behind. I feel like a caged hamster running on all fours and chasing a wheel that stops for no one.
You’d think by fourth year we’d have this whole studying thing figured out. I guess the best advice I can give when it seems that school or stress in general is all consuming, take a breath and think of the future. Put your life into perspective.
We’re so often told to live in the moment and that looking to the future is taking for granted all that we have right now. But I’d have to disagree. I think that looking to the future is so incredibly eye opening. Sometimes living a day-to-day existence where our most imminent problem is getting the paper finished by twelve puts our lives in such a sheltered bubble. Looking to the future gives us the ability to see truly how insignificant our greatest concerns of the moment seem in the grand scheme of things. We have to think of tomorrow and remember EVERYTHING is temporary. All this fear, stress and helplessness will be over before we know it. FREEDOM IS NEAR.
We can do this! Bring it on finals.
